Rocli Learning Academy is expanding our individualized learning services throughout the Southside Metro Atlanta area and is seeking 1:1 Learning Support Guides to work directly with neurodivergent learners in community-based, partner-center, or family-approved learning environments.

Unlike our small-group program at Rocli's Roswell headquarters, this position focuses primarily on one student at a time.

The Learning Support Guide follows an individualized learning plan designed around the student's current academic level, goals, strengths, communication style, and learning needs.

This is a mobile position, so candidates should be comfortable traveling to assigned students throughout the Southside area.

Service Area

Assignments may be available throughout areas including:

Jonesboro • McDonough • Fayetteville • and surrounding Southside Metro Atlanta communities

Travel requirements will depend on the specific student assignment.

Schedule

Part-time and assignment-based.

Schedules may include recurring weekday morning or afternoon blocks depending on student enrollment and family needs.

We particularly value candidates who can commit to a consistent recurring schedule with the same learner.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic instruction to one student

• Follow Rocli-created learning goals and instructional plans

• Use curriculum resources, hands-on materials, educational technology, and other tools selected for the learner

• Help students strengthen foundational reading, language arts, math, and functional academic skills

• Adapt activities according to the student's learning style and current ability level

• Provide appropriate breaks, movement, sensory support, and redirection when needed

• Support communication and independence throughout the learning session

• Document completed activities, student participation, progress, and areas requiring additional support

• Communicate regularly with Rocli leadership regarding student progress

• Maintain consistent attendance and arrive prepared for scheduled sessions

• Collaborate appropriately with parents, caregivers, ABA teams, or other professionals involved with the learner when applicable

• Tutoring

• Homeschool education

• ABA

• Early childhood education

• Paraprofessional or teacher-assistant roles

• Developmental or behavioral services
  

You do not need to be a traditional classroom teacher to be a strong candidate. We are looking for people who are excellent at building relationships with children, following individualized plans, and helping students make meaningful progress.

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with children

• Experience with autism or neurodivergent learners strongly preferred

• Comfortable working independently with a student

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the assigned Southside service area

• Ability to maintain a consistent recurring schedule

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Patient, dependable, encouraging, and adaptable

• Comfortable supporting students who may be verbal, minimally verbal, or use alternative communication

• Ability to follow individualized instructional plans

• Must successfully complete required background screening
